We’re lucky enough to live right around the corner from one of the most-beloved thrift stores in the area. The hubby and I went out for breakfast Monday morning and decided to stop in at Unique Thrift on our way home. If you can get past the “used” smells, there’s usually a fantastic find or two hidden in the stacks, and this trip was no exception. I found this amazing pillow (priced ever-so-affordably at $2.99), as well as a huge, heavy, old throw I’m thinking of using as a rug in the office (right now it’s hanging out in a huge vat of coffee, which should give it the muted, vintage look I’m hoping for), priced at $5.99. The best part? It was Monday! Any true Uniquer knows Mondays are the day to shop there, since everything in the store is at LEAST 50% off. I got out of there for under five bucks. Awesome.

A close-up shot, highlighting the amazing texture and handmade-ness of it:

Veggie benedict with my sweetie, donuts in the parking lot (ahem, that kind), and some lovely and affordable finds! All in all, a very lovely morning.
